Loved the a double room with ac, wouldn't mind staying there all day. An electric kettle and a washing machine were available. Location in the middle of the city was a plus. This hotel was in a pretty nice area near a local restaurant, Nungwi and Kendwa and Tanzania.

Great breakfast and friendly staff. Good location near main road and activities. Affordable option in an expensive area. Safe and clean.
The wifi was a rollercoaster ride, but it's okay, I loved using up my own data bundles instead. So convenient.

I stayed at Homeland Swahili Lodge Nungwi Backpacker as a transit stop during my travels, and I found it to be conveniently located near the nearest airport, which was only 54 km away. This made it easy and hassle-free to get to the lodge upon arrival. although the lodge is a bit far from the beach , I appreciated the fact that there were plenty of shops and restaurants along the main street leading to the beach. This made it very convenient to grab a quick bite to eat or pick up any supplies I needed during my stay.
While the walk was not overly long, it did require a 15-20 minute walk to reach the beautiful shores of Nungwi.
